Improv shows of all types, from the traditional to avant-garde, with cool workshops to boot.

Our venue is The Arts at Mark’s Garage in downtown Honolulu.

Tickets will go on sale starting March 2026.

Passes included access to ALL shows and workshops. Passes go on sale starting February 2026.

About us

Standing on the shoulders of giants

Laugh-cano was inspired by Honolulu’s Improvaganza Improv Festival, which ran for several years pre pandemic. It’s our goal to follow in the footsteps of that awesome institution, with respect for the contribution to the creators, and much gratitude to them.

Several of the same folks are involved in this new festival. Attendees who previously enjoyed Improvaganza might recognize some friendly faces at Laugh-cano.

We plan to add a history section to this website that will tell more of the story of Improvaganza.

Improvaganza, the inspiration for LAUGH-CANO, was known for a spirit of hospitality toward visiting improvisors, and we seek to imbue this festival with the same welcoming energy. Wherever you’re from, come to share in the celebration in this artform we love.
